skin contact.
Respiratory – If engineering controls are not effective in
controlling airborne exposure then respiratory protective
equipment should be used. Expert advice should be used in
selecting the appropriate equipment. See Australian
Standards AS/NZS 1715 and 1716.

11 TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION
Health Effects:
Acute
–
Swallowed: May cause irritation to gastro-intestinal tract.
Ingestion may cause abdominal cramps, vomiting and/or
diarrhoea.
Eye: Contact with the eyes will cause irritation.
Skin: Repeated or prolonged contact with the skin can cause
irritation. Skin absorption may be a significant source of
exposure.
Inhaled: High concentration of vapour may cause irritation.
Health Effects -
Chronic
: Repeated skin contact may cause
dermatitis.
Toxicity data: for principal ingredients:
Propylene carbonate: Acute Oral LD50 (mouse) = 20700 mg/kg
Acute Dermal LD50 (rabbit) = 20001 mg/kg
Methoxy Propanol: Acute Oral LD50 (mouse) = 11700 mg/kg

Systems does not carry out animal tests).
12 ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION
Ecotoxicity: Data for principal ingredients methoxy propanol,
dipropylene glycol mono-methyl ether and propylene glycol n-
butyl ether:
Practically non-toxic to aquatic organisms (LC50/EC50 > 100
mg/L in the most sensitive species tested).
Persistence and degradability: Expected to be readily
biodegradable.
Mobility: Soluble in water.
Advice: Prevent entry to natural waterways.
13 DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS
Waste disposal methods: In accordance with government
regulations for the disposal of special waste. Incinerate in an
approved incinerator, according to government regulations.
Dispose of waste material via a licensed waste disposal
contactor to a regulated landfill.
