Unger was founded more than 50 years ago in Germany when Henry Unger, a professional window cleaner, started designing cleaning products for professional use. With the unwavering support of his wife Barbara, Henry Unger launched his new business in Hamburg, Germany. Unger is now an international company and a market leader in the professional cleaning industry.
Henry Unger’s discerning eye for quality and his tireless pursuit of new and better ways to clean still serve as guideposts for Unger today. For almost 20 years Henry’s three sons; Dane, Jan, and Mark, continued to lead the Unger Company with their father’s core values and the goal to design products that make the cleaning experience cleaner, faster and safer.
Today, Unger continues to grow and invest. In addition to our Connecticut, USA headquarters we have a new state-of-the-art facility in Solingen, Germany to support our growing Global business. Unger’s success is primarily due to bright, talented people who work with business partners in more than 80 countries across the world to bring our high quality tools to market.
